Christina had her tonsils out at the end September. She was getting strep a lot and getting tonsillitis in August was the last straw. She was extremely nervous, she had never had surgery before. The surgery was only 12 minutes and everything went well! She had a really hard recovery and was in a lot of pain. It took about a month for her to fully recover.
On Oct 13th (2 weeks after Christina’s surgery)Shawn had surgery to fix a birth defect he was born with. He was such a trooper, Christina was more scared than Shawn was. While we waited for Shawn’s surgery, Shawn was able to play with a car that we pushed him around in. There was another child there for the same thing. The two of them look so cute in their gowns. He was out for a couple of hours and then we got to see him.
After all was said and done Shawn was doing good and we where just happy to have our son back. Thanks to my dad and Christina’s mom for coming up to be there with us.
The day after Shawn’s surgery he could roll from his back to stomach and vice versa (he could only do one way before!)
3 days after his surgery his catheter came out with totally scared us because the doctor was supposed to take it out a week later! Everything turned out and Shawn totally healed within a week. This was really scary and stressful for us and we are so glad it is over!
So I had a recovering wife and baby to take care of. Thanks to Christina’s family for the help with the two of my favorite people in the world.
