Shawn’s First Trip to Grandparents House

Today was Easter and we went to Christina’s Parents for Easter dinner.  Christina’s Aunt and her family are in town and were really excited to see Shawn.  Shawn did such a good job on his day out with only a couple of cry’s he did fine with everyone.  He even went outside while everyone looked for Easter eggs he had  such a good day.  My wife also did a great job on getting ready for the day with this being her first big outing as well.  My Sweet baby boy and my Sweet beautiful wife did awesome.

Update!

Here is a quick update on us:

Friday was my last day of work. This job has been perfect for me and a huge blessing for our family. The timing was perfect to stop working because I only have 3 1/2 weeks until my due date!!! I will still teach piano lessons until this little guy comes and then I plan on taking 4-5 weeks off. Charlie is still going strong at work and in his two classes at MCC.

Pregnancy update:
Everything is going great. I am going to the doctor weekly now and I still can not get enough of hearing Shawn's heart beat! He has been head down for a long time and loves to push against my bladder. He also loves to kick my ribs!!! At least several times a day he kicks my right ribs. I have been a lot more uncomfortable and have a harder time sleeping! My only craving has been milk and recently have been drinking a ton (which does not help the bathroom situation!) This is funny because I am not a big milk drinker. Before Charlie and I would hardly get through a gallon before it expired. Now I am drinking a gallon in less than a week by myself!!!

Charlie has spring break this week so we have both been home during the day this week! We have spent our time working on Shawn's room. We finally chose a paint color and Charlie has been painting. I went through all of his clothes and washed and sorted them. We have been going through all of the other stuff in the room that is not baby and sorting and organizing it. Hopefully it will all be done this weekend! Pictures are soon to come when the nursery is all done!

Catching Up

It has been a long time since we haved blogged! Here is the update on us since our last post :

Thanksgiving: Charlie's family went to Erie, PA to visit his sister for Thanksgiving, we wished we could have gone, but couldn't. So we spent it with my family here. My aunt and uncle and some of their kids came over to my parents house.

Christmas: Charlie's aunt, uncle, and their two kids came here to visit from New Jersey for Christmas. It was so fun to see them! We were able to spend Christmas with both families! (The perks of having them live 5 minutes apart!)

A few days before Christmas, we went to see Forgotten Carols at Gammage. This was our second time seeing it together and my fourth time (I was in it one year!) I would highly recommend seeing it, it is an amazing story filled with laughs and tears!

The day after Christmas, my family and I went to Utah for a week. (Charlie had to stay because of work. ) We visited all of my extended family and had a great time. It was hard not to see Charlie for a week, but we got to talk a lot on the phone.

January: I was asked to stay in my long term sub position at work at least until March 1st. This has been a huge blessing for me to work, but has been very exhausting to work full time, teach piano, and be in my third trimester. Charlie started a new semester at MCC and is taking a history and calculus class.

Pregnancy update: Everything is going great! Baby Shawn is growing and is definitely a very active little boy. He really enjoys kicking my ribs and turning around to kick my bladder! I am 30 weeks and Shawn is about 16 inches and over 3 pounds now. I still get sick, but not even close to what is was like during the first half! We can not wait for this little one to get here, we love him so much already.

Tomorrow's the Big Day!

Tomorrow we find out whether we are having a little boy or little girl! Charlie wants a boy and I want a girl, but would both be so happy with either! Not only am I excited to find out what we are having, I am so happy to see our little boy or girl and find out how he/she is doing developmentally.

Update on the pregnancy:
I am feeling much better over all, but still get really nauseated first thing in the morning and in the evenings, going to bed is really hard because I feel so sick. I try to catch up on my sleep on the weekends because the school week is so busy! My stomach is getting bigger, but still just looks like I've had to much cookies! I am feeling the baby move a lot more, but Charlie hasn't been able to feel it yet, hopefully he will soon!

Any guesses on what we are having? We will let you know tomorrow!
